KDS Counter Top Mounts

If space allows, screens can be located directly on a counter top. This is most often done on the expo side of pass through areas that have plenty of space. Usually a cable path hole is installed near the rear of the counter top behind the screen. The power and data outlets are ideally located completely out of sight inside a cabinet below the counter top.

A good KDS counter top mount should be movable and have an integral VESA pan and tilt head that adjusts and locks easily without tools.

In some cases screens can be supported by pedestal mounts that have an integral VESA pan and tilt head and are permanently attached to the counter top. If this type of mount is used, extra care should be taken to identify the optimum mount location BEFORE securing the mount to the counter top.

KDS Under Counter Mounts

Under counter mounts are particularly useful where the counter top is made of a premium material such as stone or glass.

Some mounts that are attached to the underside of a counter top support the screen from the edge of the counter top at a fixed tilted position.

Some mounts that are attached to the underside of a counter top include an integral VESA pan and tilt head attached to the end

of an articulating arm. The arm can be locked in any desired position and allow the screen to swing in an arc to float above the

counter top.
